This would be the 13th European Student Go Championship, the second one held in Romania after Cluj 2015.

15-16 September 2023 (Friday and Saturday) with an overlaping open tournament 16-17 September (Saturday and Sunday). While Timisoara is European Capital of Culture for the year 2023, we encourage you to have an extended stay, with arrival on Thursday and departure on Monday, for a total of 4 nights.Where

- amateur player (no pro)
- university student (including those starting to study in September 2023)
- born in 1994 or later (under 30)
- with a citizenship of an EGF member country (except Rusia and Belarus)
- active player (having played an EGD rated tournament in the last 12 months)
Prizes
- 100 / 75 / 50 euro (will increase conditioned by the number of registered players)- The EGF is using the final wall-list of the most recent European Student Championship as an essential criteria for who should represent Europe in international events reserved for students. It's not unlikely that the EGF is asked to nominate some students (male and/or female) for attending a student-event in Asia.

- sending copies of documents proving age and student status to Romanian Go Federation (FRGO) at: secretariat@frgo.ro
- making payment of participation tax to FRGO: RO45RNCB0090000558900001 (Federatia Romana de GO, Calea Piscului, nr. 10, Bucuresti. CIF: 4203580). Entry fee can be paid only by bank transfer, up to the last day of registration (15.09.2023). It will not be possible to pay the entry fee on the day of the tournament. Receipt of payment means confirmation of participation in the tournament.
