Info and rules

Duellum is a 1 game face-off type event held online on OGS, EGD class D.
Registration is unlimited, but pairings are limited by rank difference between players and total number of players of each of the two teams. The nominal maximum difference allowed is 200 GoR points, but this value may change depending of the registered players ranks, within reason. The organizers will make the effort to offer balanced games and to match all the registered players. For Romanian side: priority at pairing is based on registration date.

Registration rank

All players who are in the EGD database will register with a rank corresponding to the most recent GoR. Exceptions to this rule will only be made with the approval of the main referee, based on the recommendation of the players' sensei, or of a stronger player that can vouch for his or her progress. Note that a difference of 2 ranks or higher will automatically determine an EGD rank reset.
Players who do not have GoR will enter the competition with a rank approved by the main referee based on the recommendation of a stronger player that knows the person.

Initiating a tournament

You can register as a team organizer and propose a certain tournament between two groups of players aggregated on various criteria, such as: residence or nationality (country, region, city), club affiliation, age, profession etc.
